Dear all,
It is a great honor to invite you to a special lecture by the distinguished scholar, Prof. Aaron J. Ciechanover, recipient of the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Aaron J. Ciechanover is not only the Nobel Laureate in Chemistry for 2004 but also a prominent educator at the "Vascular and Cancer Research Center" and a distinguished faculty member at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel (Rappaport Faculty). Additionally, he is a Fellow of international scientific academies in the United States and Russia. He obtained his master's degree in 1970, his medical doctorate from the Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1974, and his Ph.D. from Technion in Israel in 1981.
Prof. Aaron J. Ciechanover was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2004 for his discovery of one of the most important processes in biochemistry, the regulated degradation of proteins, which constitute all plants, animals, and human bodies. Alongside his fellow laureates of the 2004 Nobel Prize, Prof. Aaron J. Ciechanover has tirelessly researched cellular degradation over the past few decades, leading to the discovery of a molecule called ubiquitin. Proteins marked by ubiquitin automatically proceed towards degradation pathways, allowing cells to selectively retain unmarked and functionally superior proteins to maintain their daily metabolic functions.
This opportunity to share insights with a Nobel Laureate is rare and valuable, providing us with the chance to interact closely and witness the brilliance of a master! Please do not miss out on this opportunity!
