Dear Teachers and Colleagues,
According to the Ministry of Education's regulations and the resolution of the University's Campus Disaster Prevention and Rescue Committee, the earthquake disaster prevention drill is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024, at 9:10 AM at the Xinyi and Shuang-Ho campuses. All administrative units, academic units, and classes are required to participate. The drill is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.
Drill Schedule:

1. 09:10–09:20: View the school's homepage "Disaster Prevention Section / Awareness Videos."
2. 09:21–09:22: Simulate intense earthquake shaking and practice personal protection.
3. 09:23–09:30: Once the earthquake subsides, evacuate to the assembly area.
4. 09:31–09:50: Conduct a roll call, report the situation, and return to your units after confirming safety.

Important Notes:

1. Each office, research lab, and classroom should pre-assign personnel responsible for overseeing the evacuation.
2. For individuals with mobility challenges, pre-organize a support group or arrange special assistance.
3. Do not use elevators during the evacuation and adhere to the "No pushing, No running, No talking" principle.
4. Department heads (or deputies) and class instructors are responsible for leading the evacuation and assembly.
